Safety & anti-scam tips
At Storeuro, the safety of your transactions is a top priority. This page helps you recognise scams, adopt good practices and buy or sell with confidence.
Recognising a scam
Unusually low price
An offer well below market price should alert you. If it's too good to be true, it's often a scam.
Pushy seller
A seller who pressures you to close quickly, insists on deciding right away, or creates a false sense of urgency.
Advance payment requested
You're asked to send money before seeing the item or verifying the seller's good faith.
Refusal to meet
The seller makes excuses to never meet in person or let you see the item.
Off-platform links or payments
You're redirected to an external site, a suspicious payment form or an insecure payment method outside Storeuro.
Good practices
See the item in person
Before any payment, inspect the item yourself. If that's not possible, request a live video viewing.
Prefer hand-to-hand delivery
Handing over the item in person remains the safest method. You verify the actual condition before paying.
Never send money in advance
Never transfer funds or your bank details before receiving and verifying the item.
Be cautious of offers that are too good
Stay vigilant: an exceptional price combined with an absent or pushy seller is a strong scam signal.
Secure payment
Prefer traceable and secure payment methods, ideally in person upon delivery.
Never share your bank details, card numbers or confidential codes with a third party.
Beware of urgent transfer requests, gift cards or payments via unidentified apps.
Keep a record of your conversations and the transaction: they may be useful in case of a dispute.
Report a suspicious listing
Every listing on Storeuro has a "Report" button represented by a flag. If a listing seems fraudulent, misleading or abusive, report it immediately.
Your report is sent to our moderation team, who reviews the listing and takes necessary measures to protect the community.
